Meet Ria, The Sovereign Artist

I’m Ria, a visionary multidimentional artist, soul guide, and sovereign architect of transformation.

For over two decades, I have lived and breathed the arts. I hold a BA in Performance Studies, an MA in Visual Performance (Dartington College of Arts), and a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education. From 2010 to 2013, I taught at Falmouth University, guiding emerging creatives to find their voice, vision, and truth.

As a solo artist, I created ritual theatre, live art, and durational performances that carved space for truth-telling, healing, and remembrance, weaving together personal biography, collective grief, ancestral memory, and a deep yearning for freedom. My performances were never just entertainment, they were containers of care, alchemical portals, invitations into feeling.

When the industry began to feel more like confinement than liberation, I followed the thread of my intuition deeper, into breathwork, energy work, meditation, and spiritual practice. I began to ask:

How can I have full creative freedom? How can I be fully autonomous as an artist? How can I thrive and be sustainable? What if our creative power is the key to our freedom?

Well, I lived those questions until I found my answers.

Now, I bring all of this together, the rigour of academic training, the rawness of lived experience, and the wisdom of spirit, into The Sovereign Artist: a new paradigm for artists ready to liberate their work, their worth, and their wild creative power.
